Firefly July is a book of very short poems broken up into the four seasons. Although the poems are short, they are descriptive, playful, thoughtful and full of joy. As the inside covers states, “…the thirty-six very short poems in this collections show readers young and old that a few perfect words and pictures can make the world glow.” The colorful and modern illustrations perfectly capture the essence of each poem. I think readers will like this book for its imagery, brevity, and color.
