teaseWritten by Amanda Maciel

Tease is a horrible case of bullying carried to the extreme. The girls (and guys) were relentless and unmerciful. The book was very intense and written in the voice of one of the abusers. It carries lessons in revenge, peer pressure, consequences of choices, and finally, remorse. It took Sara a long time to take responsibility for her actions. Emma’s suicide was a tragedy and there was a lot of blame to go around. So little was done to protect Emma and to stop the torment. It did make me think about what I need to be watching for as an adult in a school setting. Very well written; very hard, emotionally, to read.
