Written by Isabel Thomas
This book begins with a brief overview about science and the purpose of experiments. Before each experiment, the author describes a concept. For example, she describes electricity, explains what a circuit is, and tells how electricity can travel and what can stop electricity. The best parts of this book are the experiments. Each experiment builds upon the previous experiment and while the instructions are simple, readers should be able to find most of the necessary materials. The color photographs help illustrate the concepts. I also appreciate the “Real World Science” inserts that relate the concepts to the “real world.”
