The Big Ideas of Buster Bickles

The Big Ideas of Buster BicklesBy Dave Wasson

This creative, colorful book tells of Buster, a kid with big, unusual ideas. A flesh-eating robot with “eggs-ray” vision? Sounds super! But the other children find Buster’s ideas odd and make fun of him. Seeing Buster’s discouragement, his mom takes him to his Uncle Roswell, who also has big ideas. In fact, he has made a machine that will make big ideas come true! Things go awry when they test the machine, but all is well in the end. I think one reason others have given this lower ratings is because the “danger” is vague and the solution too simple. But I think children will agree with me that the color and imagination in this book is a delight!
