The Bubble Wrap Boy

The Bubble Wrap BoyWritten by Phil Earle

Charlie Han is a Chinese boy who is small for his age. He is the student who always gets bullied at school. His mom is overprotective, which makes it harder for him to do anything. She doesn’t want him to get hurt. She’s always telling him “no” when he wants to do new things that other kids his age do. There is a reason she is the way she is when it comes to him. He finds something he really wants to do and does it without her knowing. I really liked this book. It’s funny and inspiring. It also shows a child being rebellious and frustrated. It teaches people to follow their dreams and never give up. It’s a good book for 10 and up. It would be a good read aloud book.
