By Shirley Hughes
The best feature of this book is the beautiful illustrations. They’re breathtaking! The book is reminiscent of when all books had brushstrokes made by the artist’s hand. Hughes uses poems to take the reader through the changing weather of the seasons. Though they are simple, the poems bring with them the special characteristics of spring, summer, fall, and winter. Young readers will especially enjoy this book. A perfect read at bedtime, all snuggled in bed.
