That Figures! A Crash Course in Math is a book written for girls. We all have been told that math is all around us and that we will use math every day. It’s true! This book uses real situations such as cooking, practicing an instrument, and shopping. Each chapter has story problems to figure out. I liked the fact that the reader has a chance to figure out a solution first and then the answer is explained in detail.
