Platypus

This book reads like a story with small paragraphs of facts. The illustrations are beautiful paintings but I think they are a little too abstract. I like more detail or photographs especially for an animal that kids might not have much exposure to. 29 pages with one to three paragraphs on each page makes this a quick introductory read. This will appeal to students who like to learn about animals but are intimidated by big books.
