I have not read the other Amulet books but was able to understand the story out of sequence. I can see why these books are constantly checked out by both boys and girls from 2nd – 6th grade. Amazing art, action, great characters and mystery combine to create a story worth reading. An incredible cliff hanger leaves you hoping the next one is coming soon. This is a great gateway series to get reluctant readers interested in fantasy or science fiction books.
