Nelson is an eleven-year-old boy with very few friends. His sixteen-year-old sister Celeste is away on a trip to Spain and has gone missing after an explosion while on a boat ride with her tour group. Nelson is sent off to stay with his crazy Uncle Pogo, who has a wooden leg , while they search for Celeste. Uncle Pogo is working on St. Paul’s Cathedral and has Nelson helping him when Nelson falls onto a strange machine. The machine extracts monsters from within Nelson known as the 7 deadly sins. These monsters, which remind me of little minions can only be seen by Nelson and help him through an adventure to find his missing sister. Each creature has a bad or embarrassing habit but they work together in a fun and comical way to save Nelson and his sister. I loved the monster characters and the crazy Uncle Pogo. This story was extremely entertaining and full of surprises. If you like mystery and adventure you will love this book!
