Written by Veronica Chambers

And, it is difficult being the daughter of famous parents. Who wants to be in the spotlight when you are trying to figure out who you are? When Camilla’s mom gets a gig in L.A., she is relieved to get to be a normal teen. Her new life in L.A. presents a new opportunity to reinvent herself. Cammi’s new friends decide that she must be a scholarship student, since she is Latina. Cammi goes with the flow, and decides to test her acting skills. But, her friends seem to enforce stereotypes and slightly racist views, even if they don’t mean to. Can she keep up the act forever? Will anyone discover the truth? Will her new life help her family to find normalcy?

This is a great realistic fiction read that will appeal to female readers who may secretly wish to reinvent their life or figure out who they are. Great for Latina readers.
