Every year, we hold a Beehive Reading Challenge for all of our elementary school libraries. At the beginning of fall, each school receives the longlists for the Beehive Book Award and are challenged to read and review as many titles as they can over the next four months. This year, we made the challenge a little bit more difficult and required a kid’s review for every adult review submitted. Here is what the review form looks like:
Thanks to the hard work of our secretary, Trinda Burdett, we were able to record the score for every review submitted (-2, -1, 0, 1, or 2) and submit all of those reviews to the committee for each list and know the top five reviewed books from each list for Granite School District. This blog post includes the top five titles from the Informational Book Longlist, based on the 1,363 reviews we received.
