An awesome circle story, in which a boy wants something of his own to care for. Perhaps a pet will make everything right; however, that will take a lot of begging. The begging finally pays off, and mom says YES! Now that we have a puppy, everything is perfect. Or is it? Now that boy and puppy are contented, puppy wants something of his own to care for; puppy chooses the unthinkable for his pet. A cat, and the cat is not content being a pet; she needs a pet of her own to care for, so she chooses a bird. It continues until they all realize mom is sad and needs something of her own to care for. Whatever could that be? Will the story end? Can you ever have too many pets? Bold and vivid illustrations retell the fun story of a pet that wants a pet.
