When Frankie’s mother dies, her father moves the family to run a bed and breakfast. Although Frankie loves the B&B (especially making cookies for their guests), she wants to have a family of four, not three, for the Family Parade. Risking a grounding Frankie enrolls her father on a dating site without his knowledge. With her best friend Elliot and her Frenemie Jesse, Frankie finds out that it isn’t about how many are in a family; a family is a group of people who love and support each other. I like this book because in it Frankie learns that there are many definitions of family. She learns that everyone is going through something in their own lives and everyone deserves to be happy. I am going to show my sixth grade teachers “Macbeth – The Rap” — it rocks.
