It is Sofia’s first day of school, and she is nervous. When she gets to school, her teacher is kind and helpful. Then she finds a sweet note from her parents in her backpack that helps her feel better. She even makes some friends. Maybe school isn’t so bad. This book will help prepare children get ready for their first day of school, even if they are in first grade. One nice feature is the discussion prompt within a red apple on every few pages, that can help the child share their thoughts and feelings and the adult reader provide possible answers.
