Written by Vladimir Nabokov

Lolita follows the story of Humbert Humbert, who desperately tries to rekindle the passion of an intimate fling in his youth with a young girl named Delores Hayes. While the writing in this book is beautiful, with detailed descriptions and metaphors, along with cunning quips, there are a few things to note about the plot itself. Due to the nature of the book, it features some explicit content regarding the relationship between Humbert and Delores. Still, if you are looking to read a risque American classic, I would recommend giving this one a chance, as you’ll get sucked up in the prose.
