Epic Fails, #2
Written by Erik Slader and Ben Thompson
“Houston, we’ve had a problem.”
There were many failures as man tried to get to space. This book lists some of the most epic failures that occurred on that journey as man traveled to the moon and beyond. From the 13th century to current day, this book tells of the failures that taught man how to get into space. We learn of how German engineers first tried to design a rocket, and how they failed time after time. We read of the failure of Apollo 13 and how that failure to get to the moon advanced the space program.
Failure leads to progress. The space program improved after every failure. This is a great book to learn about history and reinforce the concept that failing isn’t necessarily bad. It can be a great learning tool.
