Magic, Madness, and Mischief

Set in St. Paul, Minnesota, this story about 12 year old Kalvan and the fire magic ability that he and his mother share is full of twists and turns. The characters are well written and Kalvan’s sidekick Sparx is a sarcastic talking fire hare. his is a fun fantasy (compared to Percy Jackson stories) with some insight into mental illness respectfully a part of the story. Fast paced and hard to put down!
