The Agony House, by Cherie Priest and Tara O’Connor

The Agony House
Written by Cherie Priest, Illustrated Tara O'Connor

Denise Farber is seventeen and just moved back to New Orleans from Houston. Her mom and step-dad have purchased an old house that just barely survived Katrina. When strange things start happening in the house Denise contemplates the nature of the rumors from the home’s past. Strange smells start to accompany the ghosts, that were verified by Terry’s EMV readings. When people start to get hurt Denise knows that she must get to the bottom of the ghostly situation. And, it all seems to be linked to the old comic that she finds. What do the ghosts want? Can Denise save her family and help the ghosts to move on? This is a fast-paced, engaging, graphic novel that will be a good match for reluctant readers and those who enjoy a good ghost story.
