The Girl Who Fell Out of the Sky

Written by Victoria Forester

The Girl Who Fell Out of the Sky is the third and final book in The Girl Who Could Fly trilogy. I loved the first two books in the series and enjoyed this one but felt it didn’t have the same impact and cohesiveness of the first two books. Piper McCloud, her best friend Conrad, and their team of kids with special abilities are at it again, trying to save the world, this time from immortal mischief-maker Max, whom we meet in book two. The third book continues with a story line that begins in book two but the third book seemed like it went off in some different directions, trying to tell too many stories while wrapping things up. Also, there are a few adult characters prominent in the first two books that are dropped from the story line at the beginning of the third book, leaving me wondering what happened to them and why they weren’t a part of the rest of the story. It was, however, still a lot of fun to read and full of adventure. The book, and the overall series, also has a great message pertinent to our time…we need to accept and get to know those who are different from us. We can learn from each other and may have more in common than we realized. Thank you, Victoria Forester, for a very enjoyable series!
