Fergus the calf does not like the changes autumn is bringing to Stony Meadow Farm. Change can be hard; however, when a friend like Mac embraces it, change can be a tiny bit easier. Mac the tractor and each of the farm animals help Fergus fall into autumn with each telling him the facts, and why the changes he dislikes are so important. The cornstalks are cut, the trees lose their leaves, and his bird friends migrate away. It’s a good thing that Fergus has friends who care and will show him that there are plenty of fun things about autumn. The detailed illustrations in vibrant autumn colors give the reader/listener a bigger picture of what is going on in the story.
