Bugs Everywhere

Written by Lily Murray, Illustrated by Britta Teckentrup

The first thing I noticed (and loved!) was the cover of this book. It has bugs of all sizes, shapes, and colors on it and they are actually “raised” off the cover. It’s very inviting, and begs the reader to crack it open and learn more about these creatures. This book is delightful from the beginning, as it takes the reader on a journey through the life of bugs. It covers what “bugs” really are, where they live, how they eat, and much, much more. It has wonderfully rich vocabulary (did you know that stabilimenta is the real name for spider web decorations?) and is full of interesting facts. I highly recommend this book for young and old readers, and everyone in between.
