Written by Peter Mercurio, Illustrated by Leo Espinosa
This story is written as if it was being told to the child that the story is about. When Danny was on his way home via the subway, he spots something in the corner of the subway station. At first he thinks it is just a doll, but it isn’t. Danny calls the cops and then he calls Pete to come see the baby before the baby is taken to the hospital. The story makes the news, they check on the baby and find out that it is a healthy baby boy. They are asked if they would like to adopt this little boy. With little hesitation but a few worries, they say yes.
This story will bring tears to your eyes, not in a sad way, but in a “I can’t contain the joy” kind of way. The love that is written into this story is beautiful.
