Written by Emily Arnold McCully
Ada Byron Lovelace lived a complicated life. Her brilliant mind for mathematics was plagued by illness and the medical treatments of the day. She grew up with a puritanical mother and knew nothing of her scandalous father. While being a mother of four she was still able to achieve so much that she is known as the first computer programmer. This biography is informative and well written. Readers will enjoy getting to know this monumental historical figure.
