Before We Stood Tall is an informative picture book with illustrations that caught my attention right away. It’s the story of a tree’s life cycle in reverse, from a mature tree to a seed, and how trees communicate and help each other in the kingdom underground. I think the illustrations and the information of what happens under the soil during a tree’s life is super interesting and think children would enjoy it too.
The Author’s Note at the end of the book has a lot of fun info. Loved it!
