Oceanarium is an amazing book that takes you on an tour of the sea, just like being in an art/ocean museum. It begins with the entrance that gives you an overview of the ocean zones. Each following chapter or gallery is broken into different sections/species in the ocean. It ranges from plankton to arthropods, fish, mammals, birds, and reptiles. Each gallery has page spreads with description paragraphs and then number references and facts to each of the creatures displayed on the next page. The illustrations are amazing and very detailed. You end your tour of the Oceanarium with “Humans and the Oceans,” this gallery showing compelling facts on humans and their effect on the ocean. This is a fascinating book that anyone with any interest in the ocean will enjoy reading and exploring.
