The Cool Code provides a unique window into the difficulties of finding your place in a new and unfamiliar environment. Almost everyone has felt awkward or out of place at some time or another, and this book captures those feelings well. The book recognizes and celebrates the ways in which people are unique and the joys of being true to yourself. While there are plenty of other books with the same sort of message, the great illustrations and the accessibility of the writing make this a great addition for any elementary library.
