My students were dying for Stranger Things books and this one was fun. I have not watched Stranger Things so it was absolutely confusing, but if you have watched the show this book would make more sense. It says “Jesus” as a curse once and has one part about where God would take a soul, though it appears to be a quote from some other source. Overall, it was good! A kid holds a gun to shoot a monster but no gore is shown. Overall, I think it is appropriate but definitely requires a bit of previous knowledge.
