Fadeaway

Written by E. B. Vickers

After Jake Foster helps lead his high school basketball team to the state title, he disappears. Many questions arise as those who knew him and even those who did not ask where he went and why. As the pieces begin to come together, the characters realize that the clues were right in front of them all along; many of them just didn’t want to recognize the truth.

Fadeaway covers a range of teenage issues. Students can easily make connections to the book. They can see themselves, family members, or friends in the characters. The issues raised in the book are issues that a majority of students, to some degree, face on a constant basis.
