I really enjoyed this book. It is perfect for middle school boys and others. There were no objectionable parts or language.
Hector is a good kid, smart on the chess team. He and his family live in the projects and Hector is just trying to do his own thing. Joey is the opposite of Hector and is looking for trouble. Both boys find trouble and are forced to face their fears and pasts. Well written and quick paced. Middle schoolers would love this book.Reviewed by Laura Mauer, Teacher, Eisenhower Jr High
