I loved this book. This was different than all the other Nic Stone books I have read. It has mental health struggles, a love story, and growing up and trying to be a good person and to find your friends. It was a great take on Bipolar and having highs and lows, where to go when you feel lost, and finding a family when your family seems like it is failing. It took you on two separate journeys that converged together: the journey of a girl with bipolar who had to switch schools because of her mental health failing her, and a boy who becomes a drunk to deal with loss. It was both sad and it made me want to root for both characters. I didn’t want either of them to fail, but to find happiness in a dark world.
