Extra Ezra Makes an Extra-Special Friend

Written by Kara LaReau, Illustrated by Vincent X. Kirsch

Ezra likes to do everything BIG. He goes above and beyond when it comes to showing those who are special to him how much he cares. When a new girl at school doesn’t respond to his style of being “extra,” Ezra tries to understand what she needs in a friend. This book teaches about empathy in a way that is easy for children to understand. The whimsical illustrations perfectly match the upbeat mood of this book. I really enjoyed this book and will read it aloud in my library.
