Running Wild

Written by Lucy Jane Bledsoe

This is a story about family and commitment to one another. Twelve year old Willa, her younger twin brothers, and her father live in a remote part of Alaska. Their father moved the family after their mother passed away. He teaches his children how to live off the land and how to survive in the Alaska winters. Willa takes her brothers and leaves the family cabin after realizing they don’t have enough food for the winter and her father is becoming increasingly violent.
I loved the characters and the adventure. The ending was perfect and family is forever.
