Where the Sky Lives

Read this book in Granite’s Sora

Written by Margaret Dilloway

Where the Sky Lives is about a 12-year old girl, Tuesday, who lives in Zion National Park and loves astronomy. She recently lost her astronomer uncle who was more like a father to her. She is left with her single mom, the park archaeologist, who is burying herself in her work instead of dealing with the grief of losing her brother. This is a book about a twelve year old trying to find her way in life while dealing with her grief and loss of her uncle. Her uncle left behind a riddle full of clues, and she tries to solve it, in hopes to save part of the park from being developed into apartments.

I would recommend this book for older elementary students, 5th-6th graders, or older.
