I loved this book so much! It was so enjoyable and it made me think that the kid version of me would have also loved this book. The main character, Penny, has cystic fibrosis, and you learn what day to day life looks like for people who have CF. It also has the element of befriending, connecting, and communicating with a dolphin; it’s an animals lover’s dream come true. It is a story about self reflection and learning who you really are and what you can do. It is written in a poetry format but reads like a regular novel. It is heart warming and has you rooting for Penny as well as Rose the dolphin. I’m excited to read more books from this author based on how enjoyable and beautiful this book was. Great addition for the library to introduce disability and disease, and the loneliness that comes from both of these things.
