This dreamy and beautiful nonfiction picture book uses the unique approach of gratitude by starting each new concept by thanking the moon. The simple sentences introduce readers to how the moon impacts life on earth, followed by smaller passages which provide specific detail. It shares the intricate relationship between the moon and the earth, leaving readers with a deeper understanding, wonder, and appreciation of the moon. The back matter includes further details about the moon and the animals mentioned. This would be a great read aloud for story time. I look forward to putting this on my shelves.
