The Misfits: A Royal Conundrum

Read this book in Granite’s Sora!

Written by Lisa Yee, Illustrated by Dan Santat

Have you ever felt that you just don’t belong? Olive no longer has her Grandma Mimi, and her parents are gone all of the time. She is lonely and doesn’t fit in at her school. Sitting in class she gets called to the office because her parents are leaving again and she is moving to another school. RASCH to be exact. It used to be a prison but is now a school. She is angry at her parents for being gone so much and just dumping her at a boarding school in San Francisco. She gives the school a chance and finds that she fits in here with her group, “The Misfits.” She has skills that are useful at the school. She makes friends for life and solves mysteries that help many people. In the end, they save some very expensive jewels and discover that her parents and her Grandma Mimi are part of the RASCH school as well. Really cute book.
