It was fun to revisit the world of Mr. Lemoncello through a graphic novel. It’s a book that lends itself well to a visual adaptation. The illustrations brought the game to life, which makes it even more fun for the reader playing along. A diverse group of kids is represented. I most enjoyed seeing the illustrations of favorite book covers sprinkled throughout the book. Just like with the original novel, it’s fun to catch sly references to book titles in the dialogue. Elementary students will enjoy this fast-paced page turner, and they’ll certainly wish this was an actual library they could visit!
