Same Love, Different Hug

Written by Sarah Hovorka, Illustrated by Abbey Bryant

This was such a powerful story that could help all students know that love is universal and that all children should feel love and accepted no matter what their family looks like from the outside. Themes such as acceptance, empathy, and celebrating differences could be used in lessons. The illustrations also bring the story to life with their bright colors and characters that are created to look full of joy. Overall, this is a very heartwarming story that celebrates diversity in families.
