The Story of C. S. Lewis and His Brother
Written by Caroline McAlister, Illustrated by Jessica Lanan
Do you know the story of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe? Did you ever wonder where the author got his inspiration to write it? Well, here is how that story came to be. C.S. Lewis, or Jack in this book, had a lot of experiences in his childhood that helped him write the stories in Narnia. He really did own a wardrobe like the one in his books! Then as an adult he had more experiences like the ones in his Narnia books. It took a long time, but eventually he put the story to paper. It’s fun to know where some of his inspiration came from.
