Lety is a character you can love. She is dealing with some insecurity, yet is kind and loving to others around her. She has learned English after moving to the US from Mexico when she was in 3rd grade. Now she is going into 6th grade and she wants to be the scribe for the animal shelter where she is volunteering. It is a challenge, but she loves to write. When Hunter, a boy she knows from school, also wants to write the animal profiles, the competition begins.
This is a fun little story that shows us how to be kind and push ourselves to be friends with unexpected people.
