Leigh Hodgkinson’s new book The Princess and the (Geedy) Pea is a new spin on an old tale… told with the rhythm of the popular Old Lady tales, only there is no Old Lady. There is, however, a green PEA and a princess who is nowhere in sight. A very hungry pea, what will we see. As pea gulps, munches, and wolfs down someone’s beautifully laid meal, we see that this greedy pea has no limits as he even chomps down the dinner table. This book is great for all ages! Third graders found it LOL hilarious, and Kindergarteners said it was funny that the pea eats everything. Then the princess gets her revenge!
