Grumpy Monkey thinks Valentine’s Day is gross. All that hugging, cuddling, snuggling and love grosses Jim Panzee out. His friend Norman, the gorilla, finally shows him that Valentines Day isn’t all about couples. It is a day where we can celebrate our friends and all the people we care about.
This would be a great read aloud for students. The pictures of snakes gazing into each other’s eyes, and other animal couples flirting and being romantic are very cute. Some kids are sure to be grossed out as well. I’m sure this will be a very popular book. A great addition to our holiday collection.
