My Thoughts Have Wings

Written by Maggie Smith, Illustrated by Leanne Hatch

With so many children dealing with anxiety, this book is very helpful. The child in this story has a hard time sleeping because of bad thoughts in her head. Her mom says, “Thoughts are like birds, some fly away quickly…but others build nests in your head. The trick is to think good thoughts and let them build a nest in your head.” A really cute, easy-to-read book about what thoughts you want to stay with you and what thoughts you don’t want to stay with you.
