In this graphic novel we have twins, Elizabeth and Jessica. ‘Lizzie’ is best friends with Amy. Lizzie writes for the school paper and Jessica is a cheerleader. Also: Lizzie is friendly, and Jessica is worried about being popular. When there are tryouts for the cheer team, Jessica does not want Amy to be on her team. She thinks that Amy is not ‘cool’ enough. Jessica tries to manipulate her using fake ‘love letters.’ It doesn’t work.
This book is cute and teaches that we need to accept everyone, even if they are different from us.
