Dear Muslim Child

Written by Rahma Rodaah, Illustrated by Aya Ghanameh

This is an ode to Muslim children and is simply written and beautifully illustrated. The lyrical text introduces readers of any faith to aspects of Islam, including its roots in peace, Nur, the importance of names, forgiveness, the adhan, and the hijab. All are explained succinctly, with joy and reverence.

This is a book that will get children of any faith asking questions, which in my opinion are the best kind. Through this book Muslim children will not only see themselves, but others will see them and understand them too, and we could all use a bit more of that. This will be a great addition as I try to diversify the collection in my library.
