This book was amazing! The first book of the Shad Hadid series was good and I recommend starting with that book first, but this second book is full of action. The writing is clever and funny. I tell the kids at my school that if they like the Harry Potter series, they will like this series too. It’s got magic and adventure, humor and heartbreak. It also takes place in Middle East. It mentions foods from Lebanon in a way that makes me hungry to try these dishes that I’ve never come across before. I think kids around 5th grade or older would enjoy this book. I highly recommend this one.
