I had a student from India in my school review this book. She is always looking for books that represent her culture and country. She liked reading about when the family from Seattle came to celebrate the festival harvest with Malar. She liked learning about the differences of life in Seattle and India and how they worked through those differences to have a fun time together at the festival. She liked reading more about kids like her and she thinks that other kids in our school from Nepal and India would also like reading this book.
