Ty’s best friend Joseph has been in the hospital and not able to attend school. It has been very lonely for Ty without his best friend to keep him company. When Joseph returns all the other students shower attention on Joseph, Ty gets jealous and wants it to return to the way it was before Joseph got sick. Ty ends up finding a baby bird and he talks Joseph into helping him care for the injured animal. This is a cute story of second grade life.
