Did you ever wonder about the background story of McDonald’s, the world’s largest fast-food restaurant? If so, then McDonald’s-The Business behind the Golden Arches, is the book for you. Find out how McDonald’s grew from a single restaurant into the globe-dominating chain it is today. This amazing book reveals all the facts with historical information and plenty of photographs. I found the book a fascinating read as I learned about how one man’s (Ray Kroc) idea blossomed into an empire. The book is straight forward and candid about the history, food, criticism of their responsibility toward obesity, etc. The reader doesn’t have to be a fan of McDonald’s to enjoy this book, just a reader who is interested in big brands, especially one that has been around for probably his or her whole life and one that is known world-wide. This book is one of four in the series Big Brands. The others, Amazon, Minecraft, and Samsung, should I think, be interesting reading as well.
